How to create a DJ account?

  • DJ accounts can be managed / created only from the Sonic Panel client side.

  • DJ accounts can log into Sonic Panel using port 2080, so they can see their DJ account password or information on their DJ panel, they can also change their DJ broadcast password and can manage the radio or Auto DJ if you give them permissions as A radio owner. Permissions are set when creating the DJ account or later via the List / Edit DJ accounts link in the menu on the left. Each DJ can be granted custom permissions

Instructions:

  1. Log into your Sonic Panel account as a customer.

  2. Use the Create a DJ account link from the menu on the left under the DJ Control Center.

  3. Enter a username and password, choose permissions if necessary

DJs have to choose the shoutcast v1 protocol or the shoutcast server option in their streaming show every time! Even if your radio system is IceCast or SCV2, please choose Shoutcast v1 or Shoutcast in broadcast program settings and use only dj password and dj port without username to connect.

Be careful with permissions, you don't want someone to turn on / stop your radio in the middle of a show or scam your radio.

You can also create a DJ account without permission to stream. This option is to use other permission-based functions in the DJ panel but cannot stream music. Then you can have assistants / moderators for your radio.
